Hi Lo, Jamie, and all your staff and volunteers,

Thank you so much for making me so welcome at Dunton Stables. I really enjoyed myself and feel that the experience has helped me to regain some of my confidence in riding. The accommodation was first class, the room and en-suite have been wonderfully furnished, and it was lovely to wake up and look out of my window straight onto the yard. I was able to watch what the horses got up to when no-one was around. The horses were lovely, and although I felt very nervous to begin with, they were patient and forgiving, and this really help me to gain confidence in them. I found the first trek to Sutton Park daunting to begin with, due to the wide open spaces, and dogs, runners and cyclists. As this was a long trek I was able to become more relaxed and begin to enjoy the experience. Your outrider was very patient with me, and adapted the trek to suit my needs. Sutton Park itself was stunning, with such a wide variety of landscape. I was particularly lovely to see the wild ponies. I had lessons from two instructors during my stay, each had very different styles of teaching, but I feel that I learnt a lot from them both. It was good to be able to have the flexibility of doing more lessons instead of going to the spa. The spa idea was fine by the way, and I probably would have gone if I had come to you as part of a group. I felt much more confident on the trek to the Water Park on the second day, and really enjoyed it. This was my first visit to the region, the countryside is lovely. The food was fine, with the atmosphere at the Dog and Doublet being exceptionally friendly. You asked me Lorraine, to give feedback about what you could improve or do differently. I'm finding it difficult to think of anything, as the weekend suited my needs perfectly. Maybe having the itinery written down, with approximate times for lessons, treks, and going out to eat would have been good, but that's because I have a bad memory! I can't finish without mentioning your fabulous volunteers. It was wonderful to meet such enthusiastic, polite, happy young people who were comfortable talking to anyone, when young people in general often get such a bad press. They are a credit to Dunton Stables and themselves, so please say well done to them from me. Thank you once again, and please use any of the feedback on you website if you want to.
